Fig cake workshop

Based on the success of the Mãos na Massa event held in 2022 in
Barão de S. Miguel and within the scope of Protocol 23/24 with the municipality of Vila do Bispo Municipality, Associação Avonde, is now proposing to hold a gastronomic workshop on 29 October at the pavilion in Sagres, dedicated to regional sweets based on the Algarve's most popular fruit - the fig.
With the aim to passing on local traditions and confectionery practices associated
with local products, in this case the fig, the programme includes the preparation of the fig and
the almonds to make fig cakes which are usually eaten around the All Saints' holiday on 1st November.
