New stories from a timeless territory.

ID Rota Vicentina is a unique journey along the coast and mountains of south-western Portugal, guided by those who live and know it.

Through a sustainable network of tourism and culture, value is given to what grows and is done here. Along the way, we create bonds with places, landscapes, producers, arts and craftspeople and from this a conscious and true relationship with this land is born.

Thus, in a spirit of communion and sharing of the territory, we invite those who were born here, those who are visiting and those who have chosen this place to live to take a look at our Agenda and discover the local culture in the music, knowledge and flavours of our region.

And in the Spring of 2023, from 26th March to 1st April, we will celebrate for the third time the fruits of this project in Semana ID , a week of various initiatives developed with the partners and the local community, rooted in a set of recommendations for sustainable practices, ID Guide, which will result in an itinerant programme from Santiago do Cacém to Lagos.
ID Guide

Inspiring by the ID Guide, a manual of good practices about the territory's identiry, a course was created to train specialised guides for the region.
Communication and Promotion

Communicating this region’s essence goes beyond the landscape and nature. With ID we create bonds with places, landscapes, producers, arts and craftspeople and so a conscious and true relationship with this land is born.
Semana ID

We sow knowledge and at the end, we celebrate its fruits in the ID Week, an event with several initiatives co-constructed with the local community, which wants to show the best of what is done in the Southwest.
Impact Monitoring Study

Knowing who visits us and monitoring the impacts of tourism on the identity of the territory is one of the priorities of the Rota Vicentina Association.
