More than 1000 km to cycle in the Southwest of Portugal

Rota Vicentina has extended its cycling routes with an official network of off-road bike trails and gravel. The rural and mountain paths that can be enjoyed by bike, come together with stunning landscapes, villages that seem lost and people who feel these trails are part of their heritage. It is from the municipality of Odemira that 38 routes depart, organised into 5 nuclei and 6 entry points.

Most of the trails are circular and always have a defined direction, so that they can be done in an autonomous and safe way, preferably from September to June. For a better experience, visit the Cyclin’ Portugal Centre in Odemira and check the location of the bike stations and bike friendly services prepared to receive you with the best support possible. If you like mountain biking, then you have come to the right place. Welcome and enjoy your ride!

The routes are mostly along paths and roads open to traffic where you may come across motorised vehicles.
