Cabidela will be our 2024 opener. At this event we will have the pleasure of working with Luís Capitão, producer and winemaker at Herdade do Cebolal, and Rafael Dantas, our beloved chef and partner in many adventures on the Alentejo coast. This time lunch won't be at our Monte, but at Cebolal, a family project located in Vale das Éguas (Santiago do Cacém) that has been around for over 140 years. With Luís, we've already learned a lot about wine and the region we've chosen to live in. Wine is made in the vineyard and not in the cellar, says his friend. Local grape varieties, field blends, tradition combined with experimentation and daring is what enchants us about his work. As well as the great stories he has to tell. He's a great storyteller. As well as the cabidela, we'll have at the table Dozero cheeses made especially for this event, a selection of the producer's wines, our beloved Pão do Campo, as well the farm products that appear throughout the menu, such as marmalade, liqueur and honey.
