Salema Eco Camp

Salema Eco Camp is a prime destination for nature lovers and enthusiasts of slow living. It invites visitors to reflect on and become more aware of essential topics such as ecology, planetary regeneration, and the development of both environmental and personal consciousness. Nestled in a valley just 1 km from Salema Beach and the Fishermen’s Trail, it offers the peace and quiet necessary to fully enjoy the natural surroundings.

There are several accommodation options available—from apartments inspired by nature-based activities, to themed studios, and Eco Lodges located in prime spots within the park. For a closer connection with nature, guests can opt for Glamping tents—in Eco Lodge, Woody, or Tipi styles—or traditional camping, surrounded by the calm and immersive atmosphere of the natural park.

The Nazari Restaurant, located within Salema Eco Camp, offers a delightful journey through Mediterranean cuisine, with strong Greek, Italian, and Middle Eastern influences. Every dish highlights the finest regional products from the Algarve and across Portugal, and the carbon footprint of each dish is calculated to promote more conscious choices. There is also an Eco Store, where visitors can find carefully selected eco-sustainable and organic food, cleaning, and cosmetic products, as well as essential accessories for campers and surfers.

Salema Eco Camp is the first tourism facility to calculate its entire carbon footprint and invest in decarbonization projects. It is also the first location in southern Portugal with the ambition of becoming a Zero Waste space, where even water is recycled. Through its regeneration projects and partnerships, it aims to be a source of light and inspiration for both guests and the wider region.
The campground's infrastructure also allows for accessibility to people with reduced mobility in parts of its area.
