Before or after walking the Rota Vicentina above the cliffs, enrich your experience with a trip to the underwater world. The Ecoalga is a diving school and center on the Alentejo Coast, which was founded in 2008 by Joaquim Parrinha, a man of many trades, completely in love with the marine world.

It is in it's company that you can discover the local marine life, with regular diving trips in Sines (between October and May) or Porto Covo (between May and October). In winter, you can also venture into sport fishing (bottom fishing, javelin and trolling) or even spearfishing.. And if you want to live your first adventure in the water, the Ecoalga team can guide you in a calm and safe way through the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, with a diving baptism in Pessegueiro Island.

WithEcoalga you can also live a unique underwater wine tourism experience. Dive into Adega do Marand collect your bottle of wine, bringing it to the surface for a toast with a taste of the sea.

If you want to stay true to the walks, try a Snorkwalk day too. Ecoalga organizes seaside walks with freediving that allow you to discover animal species, algae, geological formations and some of the best kept secrets of the Southwest Alentejo. And because the ocean offers unique experiences that go beyond surfing and grilled sardines above the water, there are also boat trips between Porto Covo and Malhão beach, available throughout the year.
