Ecoalga

Before or after walking or cycling on Rota Vicentina over the cliffs, enrich your experience with a trip into the underwater world. Ecoalga is a diving school on the Alentejo Coast, which was born in 2008 by the hands of Joaquim Parrinha, a sea lover man.

It is with him that you can discover the local marine life, with regular diving trips in Sines city (between October and May) or Porto Covo village (between May and October). In the winter season, you can also adventure into sport fishing or even spearfishing.  And if you want to experience a first adventure underwater, Ecoalga team will be able to guide you in a calm and safe way through the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, with a diving baptism close to  Pessegueiro Island.

With Ecoalga you can also live a unique underwater wine experience. Dive into "Adega do Mar" (sea ​​winnery) and pick  your bottle of wine, bringing it to the surface for a sea-flavored toast.

If you want to stay focus on hiking, try a Snorkwalk day as well. Ecoalga organizes walking tours along the seafront with freediving that allow you to discover animal species, algae, geological formations and some of the most kept secrets of the Southwest of Portugal. And because the ocean offers unique experiences that go beyond surfing and sardines, above the water, there are also boat trips between Porto Covo and Malhão beach, available all the year.
