In this workshop we will address the theoretical foundations of serigraphy, using examples of works by artists such as Andy Warhol and the Pop Art movement, and we will present the materials and tools used, preparing the canvas and inking, printing and cleaning the paintings.
Participants will be able to experience the application of a direct drawing, through the stencil technique – which will define areas of obstruction and ink passage on the serigraphic frame, allowing an initial understanding of the technique. Finally, each participant will print their design on paper or on textiles.
The objective of this activity is to stimulate creativity, understand the basic fundamentals of the technique and the process of creating and cutting a stencil, through image stylization and differentiation of its positive and negative, and the (re)production of an image through of screen printing.
