The work of the Belgian writer Eric-Emmanuel Schmitt takes place in Paris, in the 60s, and tells us the story of the friendship between an 11-year-old Jewish boy and an old Arab grocer from rue Bleue.
""But appearances are deceiving: Mr. Ibrahim, the grocer, is not an Arab, rue Bleue is not blue and the little boy may not be Jewish.""
This show follows one of the lines of work of Teatro Meridional, which is related to the staging and adaptation of non-theatrical texts, continuing a show format told in the voice of a single actor and accompanied by a musician.
The play, staged by Miguel Seabra, premiered in 2012, the year it received the public award at the Almada International Theater Festival.
The interpretation is in charge of Miguel Seabra (text) and Rui Rebelo (music)."
