As part of the celebrations of the 450th anniversary of Lagos becoming a city - title awarded by D. Sebastião on 27 January of 1573 - the municipality of Lagos launched the challenge to artists to create works related to this young monarch. This is the exhibition that results from this contest, a contemporary view of this unique figure of the History of Lagos and Portugal whose symbolism and associated myths served as inspiration for these artists.
