Our micro-gallery is now full, we pile up the dishes and enjoy a slow and pleasant digestion. For two months, Vasco Costa's work fills the window of Ateneu do Catorze with his drawings in vibrant colors and accentuated and expressive contours. Vasco is a multidisciplinary artist, graduated in Graphic Design and Master in Communication and Advertising Strategies, in Barcelona. He is originally from the Alentejo, from the village of Amoreiras-Gare in the municipality of Odemira and frequently uses the visual universe of his roots to develop it and make his interpretation of the characteristic elements and scenes. He has developed a lot of work in urban spaces, large-scale paintings on buildings, pavement, walls, sports fields ... And also partnerships with numerous brands, such as Adidas, Delta, Nunn Watch, Fox, among others. 'Mesa Alentejana' is the work he developed especially for this exhibition, a representation of some elements present in the generous tables of Alentejo through the artist's eyes. We've wanted to have Vasco's work in our showcase for a long time and this was the right time, also integrating the MONTRAS 2023
