'Sabor de Kalima' travels from Viseu to São Luís to perform at Espaço nativa on Saturday, April 8th at 6pm, bringing together a profusion of flavors, including Argentine tango, fado, bossa nova, rumba, and the compas of Andalusian bulería.
.
Created and formed by Walter Passerini and Xana Valente, whose overflowing inspiration transforms music from great composers into a poetic journey, 'Sabores de Kalima' is also a theatrical intervention, with puppet manipulation that takes on iconic characters from this musical immersion around the world's music.
.
Walter Passerini is an Italian musician and composer, who started to play from an early age, always with a great passion for string and wind instruments. He claims to be a born traveler, traveling through Latin America, the Orient, Europe, and Eastern Europe in search of inspiration. Currently, he plays flamenco guitar, clarinet and saxophone, being very influenced by Brazilian music, Balkan music, jazz and jazz manouche.
.
Xana Valente is a portuguese clown, poet, children's theater educator and fashion designer. She carries her voice in her soul, being inspired by great female artists like Violeta Parra, Amália, Mercedes Sosa and Inês Balcan.
.
We count on your presence to what promisses to be a very lively evening!
