Book in analysis\/reading: MENDIGOS e ALTIVOS, by Albert Cossery
\nNovel of 1955, it is considered the masterpiece of Albert Cossery, and was the subject of three adaptations: two to the cinema and one to the comics. A beggar by his own decision, Gohar, a former university professor of Literature and Philosophy, leads us, through the streets of Cairo and the snares of morality, to a crude and detached knowledge of the fare with which modern society muffles, at birth, the vital possibilities of human beings.
