Cato is a summer proposal that you fancy at any time of the year. Warm colours, fresh fish, pasture fields meats, organic snacks and vegetables, baked bread in the wood oven and good music are the strong dishes of this restaurant.
In the heart of the Costa Vicentina, nestled in the dunes of Bordeira, CATO is a place apart, with restaurant and rooms, served by a biological vegetable garden, where fresh fish, grass meat, organic vegetables and many other local delicacies come every day.
The restaurant also has a large terrace that at the end of the afternoon invites to taste caipirinhas and mojitos, accompanied by good music and snacks, where we also bake our own bread and pizzas on special days.
Inspired by the nature that grows around them in Carrapateira, Cato wanted to go back to the origins and control the process, process and not buy processed, from bread to sauces, this is a long way from flour to fresh pasta, from barley to beer. While wanting to respect the roots and go back, learn how to do it and share this learning, they were also incorporating in their kitchen flavours and techniques brought by volunteers from every corner of the world who went to work in the garden.Cato is walkig to an increasingly authentic kitchen, which respects nature, products and the planet.
