Pereiras-Gare

57.5 KM

This difficult level course is a real wonder. The main feature of this route is the high number of stream crossings, namely that of Torquines and Fitos, usually unviable after heavy rains, but which can create some adrenaline if they are passable. The challenges are spread along the route, with the prominent feature being a very long climb from 8 to 21 km, which, although intersected by small slopes, makes a slight tangent to the Monchique mountain range. It is also notable for traveling through a multitude of distinct landscapes, sometimes in the open, sometimes surrounded by dense and refreshing vegetation or through small villages lost in time. The route passes through the villages of Está Bem, Sabóia, Luzianes, Torquines, Nave Redonda and Pereiras-Gare.
