Sagres
They say that Sagres is where the earth ends and the sea begins! Surrounded by the sea and the Natural Park of the Southwest Alentejo and Costa Vicentina, is the local accommodation of Cercas Velhas set in protected land that has almost survived intact, where sunsets, beaches, mountains and tracks can be seen from those who passed through.
There, a bit of everything can be done, especially being in touch with the nature. From surfing, paddle boarding, bird, dolphin or whale watching, cycling, walking, watching the sunrise or sunset or simply getting your feet wet in the cool sea water.
Cercas Velhas a group of renovated houses were formerly occupied by farmers and as such, the main house and animal pens were made of straw. The origins and materials used at the time are still visible, never forgetting about the comfort.
The central location, set in a quiet area invites you to rest, and allows you to be close to nature listening to the chirping of the birds in the morning, or relaxing in the afternoon in the courtyard until sunset, is an invitation for a good night’s sleep.
