Casa da Lua – Alentejo
Cultural Activities
Vale da Santiago, Odemira
Vale da Santiago, Odemira
Inaugurated in May 2020, Casa da Lua aims to be a meeting point for the village of Vale de Santiago with the surrounding communities and visiting tourists. Every weekend, different activities are promoted, from world cuisine to experiential retreats.
One of the main objectives is to enhance traditions, promoting indigenous products for this purpose, supporting and promoting actions with small local producers. By valuing traditions, it also helps to fight the desertification that once plagued the region.
The isolation of the population is reversed in informal meetings that take place in or around this house and which provides the natural growth of knowledge in an effervescent multiculturalism.
There are one-day “Experiences” to get to know what is best done in this small village. In the morning choose the workshop that suits you best, followed by a typical lunch washed down with good wine and socializing with the people and traditions of Alentejo. You can also stop by just to enjoy a Gin produced in Alentejo or a simple coffee.
